This is one of our favorite places to get a nice walk through the woods as well as see and smell the ocean. Trails are great for hiking and there are quite a few stone stair-like areas and wooden bridges.

Beautiful hiking with great views. Not terribly challenging, so even our 4 year old could do it independently. Lots of choices for different routes. Can go right down to the beach and explore too.

Very beautiful place to catch a sunset. I visited with my family and we enjoyed the short handicapped accessible trail to get to two very nice look out points. I wish we had more time there but they close at 7:30. The water was nice to see and it was a good look at the rocky shores of Maine. It was quite there as well.

Even on a rainy and overcast day, this park is fantastic! The trails are well maintained and well marked. There is also a good amount of placards and scenic areas for photographs. It’s also very close to downtown Freeport, so if you’re new to the area there are many great restaurants and shops not too far away! Definitely don’t pass up this park!

Wow ! This is one of my favorite state parks so far ! Absolutely stunning views!

There are two relatively large parking areas. Lot 1 and lot 2.

There is a bathroom outhouse next to lot 2.

I did the North Loop, to White Pines Trail, to Casco Bay trail along the coastline and then did the full Harraseeket trail. I loved all portions. The Casco Bay views were fantastic.

None of the trails are difficult by any means. Mostly flat-ish trails with some winding paths here and there. There are also interactive signs describing the geology and the ecosystem in the area. Very informative.

Plenty of people with their dogs and their kids walking around so it is very friendly for these activities.

It was a beautiful mostly sunny day when I went and there weren’t many muddy areas. Just a few spots here and there.

There is also a large field by lot 2.

Picnic areas and picnic tables are scattered throughout.
