This weird comedy horror game from March went mostly unnoticed

Operating for my lifestyle down a dim and cluttered lodge hallway, I’m laughing my head off. That is the expertise of The Upturned, a comedy horror video game a whole lot of us skipped when it arrived out on Steam (opens in new tab) back again in March.

The Upturned did get some attention—it has above 300 Steam user testimonials, most of which are positive, and a couple YouTubers performed it—but it might’ve been given a greater ovation back in the mid-2010s when offbeat video games like Jazzpunk ended up far more novel. (Releasing a thirty day period soon after Elden Ring might not have aided it, possibly.)
