We stayed at the Gobbler Gulch area, very quiet and had wonderful views of the mountain. Space between each spot was awesome and the way each faced you didn’t feel you could see into your neighbor window Spots were all cement with good gravel out at picnic table and area. The laundry facility was great and easy (no change machine as they had been stolen but can go to visitor center and get that ). We were so disappointed there wasn’t an available spot for us on our return trip. We were not ready to leave. Very convenient, only a few miles to grocery and restaurants. Staff at center was very helpful! $40/night BUT an extra $10/day for park pass, we were happy to pay it as it has to be one of the nicest parks we have stayed at.
Had a lot of TV channels, we were able to use our hotspot without any issues.

Well marked trails. Beautiful views of small valleys or expansive vistas of Fort Carson and Colorado Springs.
Great trails for family hikes and MTB rides for a variety of skill levels.
Very informative information signs and helpful staff.
I frequently ride my bike here. I also purchased my hunting and fishing licenses from this location.

We had an excellent time! Super cheap campsites for what you get. There are clean showers and bathrooms within walking distance of the campground. Also, there is running water beside each site. The hiking trails are BEAUTIFUL, and there are easier and harder trials. We plan to go waaaay more often.

Nice campground with clean facilities. Very quiet with the exception of occasional helicopter overflights and some explosions in the distance from Fort Carson (minus 1 star – woke me up).

The campground is very well maintained, and the site I had was nice and level. The shower house was clean and well lit, with nice warm showers and clean toilets. There aren’t many big trees by the camp sites, just some scrub oak, so be prepared for minimal shade.

Would stay again.

One of our favorite places to camp. Right across from Ft. Carson so you can hear reveille and taps. Incredible views, clean campsites with full hook-ups. Also has bathrooms and a shower facility and laundry. Right at the foot of Cheyenne Mt.
Dog friendly but there are only some trails dogs are allowed on. They must be leashed at all times. You don’t want your dog getting lost up there, it’s mountain lion and bear territory too.
There is a playground at the shower and laundry facilities and a mountain bike self repair station with air and tools.
